Plan your trip

Less guessing.
More fishing.

A few things to know before you meet Captain Dave at the river.

01 / Pick a date

Talk with Dave.

Share your preferred date, trip length, location, and number of guests. For a half-day trip in Memphis, let Dave know whether you prefer morning or afternoon. He’ll confirm availability.

02 / Reserve your trip

Get it on the calendar.

Once your date is confirmed, arrange the $100 deposit with Dave and review the current booking terms.

03 / Meet at the river

Come ready for a good day.

Dave will give you the exact launch address and meeting time. Half-day trips are Memphis only; 6½-hour and 8-hour trips are available in Memphis, Tunica, or Helena.

Your trip questions, answered.

Do I need fishing experience?

First-timers are welcome. Let Dave know your experience level and what you’re hoping to learn when you arrange your trip.

How many people are included?

All trips include up to 3 people. Each additional person is $50. Up to 2 children under 12 fish free. Confirm your full group with Dave.

When are the half-day trips?

Memphis-only half-day trips last 4½ hours. Choose 7:00 AM–11:30 AM or 12:30 PM–5:00 PM. Dave confirms availability for your preferred date and time.

Can children come fishing?

Yes. Up to 2 children under 12 fish free on all trips. Tell Dave the ages of the children and the full group size so he can confirm the arrangements.

What is included?

Guided fishing trips include the boat, tackle, bait, and fishing equipment. Contact Dave about anything specific you need for your group.

What should I bring?

Ask Dave for the final list for your trip. Comfortable weather-appropriate layers, sun protection, and your personal food and drinks are a useful starting point. Confirm any other needs before departure.

Do I need a fishing license?

Ask Dave which fishing license applies to your exact trip and launch location before buying one. Trips may depart in the Memphis, Tunica, or Helena area.

Where do we meet?

Half-day trips are in Memphis only. The 6½-hour and 8-hour trips are available in Memphis, Tunica, or Helena. Contact Dave for the exact launch address and meeting time. Do not go to the Hernando mailing address to meet for a trip.

How does payment work?

After Dave confirms your date, arrange the $100 deposit with him. The remaining balance is due at the boat ramp. Published terms list cash or card, with a $15 card-processing fee; confirm the current terms with Dave.

What if the weather or river conditions change?

Stay in contact with Dave before departure. Ask him to confirm the weather, cancellation, and rescheduling terms when booking.

Can I keep my fish?

Discuss your plans with Dave before booking. He can explain his current fish-handling and catch policies for your trip.

Is this a walk-in business?

No. Trips are by appointment. Contact Dave to reserve a date and receive the correct meeting location.
